In my last email to everyone I mentioned that the next CD was going to be somewhat of a “winter” themed one.  However, a snowy winter and one polar vortex later here in Wisconsin just made me realize I didn’t want to re-live that time of year again through the music, and I immediately switched gears.  I kept the original opening song inspired by a coffee table book I had bought, and then went back to Lake Superior again for more inspiration because it just feels like home.   One cool song title later became the CD title, and the rest of the music quickly wrote itself around that.  So… 

The music evolved to become The Cinder Notes.  The title is rustic and unique.   Minimalism and nature.  Smoke and fire.  Simplistic, basic inspiration from intriguing stories of the Lake Superior area.  Merging music with nature in a minimalistic way only solo piano can.  

Release date will be by summer’s end if all goes according to plan… stay tuned for updates!
